4. Mirjan Fort

So much so that you'll see vegetation even on the walls. The Nawayath Sultanate established the fort in the 16th century and was later taken over by the Vijayanagar Empire. 5. Half Moon Beach

However, hiking back to Om Beach after nightfall is not recommended because there is a greater risk of becoming lost in the bush.

7. Maha Ganapati Temple

It is dedicated to the Hindu god Ganesha, and legend has it that Ganesha tricked Demon Ravana into stealing Atmalingam from him here. The temple deity is a black stone idol of Lord Ganesha, and devotees come here first before going to Mahabaleshwara Temple.
