Delhi government’s plan to deploy electric buses gets delayed

Delhi state government’s plan to deploy 1,000 electric buses to boost e-mobility has been delayed by a few months due to the model code of conduct implemented for Lok Sabha polls. The bids for the electric buses will open on July 30 and supply of vehicles to concessionaire will start in July 2019. Earlier, Delhi Cabinet approved a proposal to procure electric buses to counter the increasing air pollution levels.
