Tamil Nadu EV policy proposes 100% Motor Vehicle Tax Exemption; Subsidy for Manufacturers

TN government's state electric vehicle policy proposes to promote EV startups along with introducing various incentives & concessions for the electric vehicle & battery manufacturers. 100% motor vehicle tax exemption will be given to all-electric motorcycles, buses, 3-wheelers, etc till 2022. Special concessions were introduced including 15% capital subsidy for EV manufacturing and 20 % for batteries.
