‘Make in India’ initiative helped India to save Rs 3 lakh crore
The ‘Make in India’ initiative helped India to save Rs 3 lakh cr. as the mobile handset production eco-system has replaced imports of CBU with Indian manufactured handsets in last 4 years, a report said on Wednesday. Nearly 225 mn handsets were produced in India in 2017-18, which is almost 80% of the total market demands, stated ICEA report. Nearly 120 new manufacturing units were established in India in last 4 tears.
