1,862 startups registered with GeM received Rs 275cr worth order: DPIIT

According to DPIIT officials, 1,862 start-ups registered with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal has received Rs 275cr orders till April 2019. Ramesh Abhishek, the Secretary of DPIIT, has said that start-ups can now get Government orders on GeM start-up runway. They will also be exempted from prior turnover, prior experience, and earnest money deposits. 1,87,004 jobs have been created in those start-ups, he added.
