This week, the Federal Court instructed Air Canada to compensate more than $15,000 ($21,000 CAD) for multiple violations of language equality and to send a formal apology letter to a French-speaking couple in Ottawa. The pair claimed that the term "lift" was inscribed in English but not in French on seatbelts. They also said that the French versions of the words "exit" and "warning" were in lower characters.
