Amazon invested INR 284 cr in its grocery delivery operations in India

Amid the COVID-19 issue and lockdown, the competition in the grocery delivery space is increasing. Amazon has infused INR 284 cr into Amazon retail, the unit that takes care of the grocery delivery in its marketplace. During the ongoing 21-day lockdown, all the online grocery delivery platforms are witnessing a spike in the numbers of orders. The recent funding will help Amazon to clear the backlog of orders.
