Apple confirmed acquisition of self driving startup 'Drive.ai'

Apple just confirmed to Axios that it acquires self-driving car startup firm Drive.ai. The startup has been working on AI tech for autonomous vehicles. However, they faced some cash crunch in an increasingly competitive market. Apple acquired it for an undisclosed amount. Axios also said Apple took on new hires in the areas of engineering and product design. Drive.ai was founded by a group of Stanford students in 2015.
