Assam tabled the first E-budget

Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma presented state’s first e-Budget at the Legislative Assembly on Monday. For the first time in India, the budget was drafted by a government with citizens participation and the whole session will be live streamed. The media persons covering the Budget session will receive 8GB pen drive with required details, while the entire budget will be made available on Google Play Store.
