Billionaire Nirav Modi charged by CBI
Billionaire diamond merchant Nirav Modi, his brother, wife and a business partner have been booked by CBI for cheating PNB with over Rs 280.70 crore during 2017. Following a complaint from the PNB, Income Tax officials raided Nirav Modi and on January 31 and took Nirav's Surat, Delhi and Jaipur offices under the scanner. He is charged under criminal conspiracy, cheating and provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act.
