Budget 2020: Govt proposes partial disinvestment of LIC, IFSC has potential to become a centre of finance, says FM

The Union Finance Minister talked about the success of IFSC. She said IFSC has the potential to become a centre of finance. It has 19 insurance entities already and GIFT City will now set up an international bullion exchange. In a major change in the government's approach towards LIC, it will be listed on stock exchange. "This will enable India to enhance its position, create more jobs and better price discovery of gold," FM said.
