CCD in talks with Coca-Cola to sell stake seeks valuation of Rs 8,000 cr from giant

The coffee-chain Cafe Coffee Day was in talks with Coca-Cola to sell a stake, and as per the reports, the founder of CCD VG Siddhartha has sought a valuation of between Rs 8,000 crore and Rs 10,000 crore from the FMCG major. Also, the founder wants to retain a controlling stake in the business. Coca-Cola wants a stake in CCD in order to nullify the risks that may come about with its core carbonated drinks business.
