A key supplier of Apple Inc and other tech giants plans to split its supply chain between China and US. Young Liu, chairman of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, said that while China will still play a role in Foxconn's manufacturing empire, China's days as the world's factory are done. The escalating trade tensions between Washington and Beijing have forced device makers to diversify their production bases away from China.
