Coronavirus update: Finance Minister announces Rs.1,70,000 crore package for relief fund, Rs.50 lakh insurance cover

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today announced a package worth Rs.1,70,000 crore as a relief fund, to support those who are directly affected with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. The finance minister also announced an insurance cover worth Rs.50 lakh each to almost 20 lakh 'Corona warriors' that include doctors, para-medics, sanitation workers and others fighting againt the global pandemic.
