Dixon Carphone being investigated for customer data breach

Dixon Carphone is facing investigation by cyber security experts of GCHQ. The company identified unauthorized access to 5.9 million customers’ cards and 1.2 million customer personal records, which has turned out to be the biggest data breach in the UK. Following the data breach announcement, Dixon Carphone's shares dropped as much as 6%. The firm, once investigated, could be fined heftily under the new GDPR rules.
