Economic Survey includes state-wise exports for 1st time
According to the Economic Survey 2018, for the first time in Indian history, the survey has incorporated international exports of states’ data also. The study claims 5 states Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu & Telangana bring 70% of the country's exports. India’s external sector also will be bright in near future due to the global trade’s expected rise, but the increasing oil price could create problems.
