European Union okays Lufthansa’s 6 billion-Euro German recapitalization

The European Union gave its nod to Deutsche Lufthansa AG for receiving a 6 billion-euro recapitalization from the German government. However, the EU has strictly mentioned that Lufthansa can't use the taxpayer's money to expand its business. With the bailout package, Germany is set to acquire a 20% stake in Europe’s largest airline. Under the approval of the EU, Germany’s 300 million-euro equity participation is included.
