Facebook enters the blockchain market, will use it to provide in-house currency

Using the remains of blockchain market, Facebook is co-opting technology for a pretty humdrum payment system. Even though Facebook's plan seems contradictory to their mode of operation, it is trying to convert blockchain into something to lock users by providing them in-house currency. Facebook's main competition would be PayPal’s Xoom, or WorldRemit. The digital token could be used to transfer money on WhatsApp.
