Zuckerberg hopes to launch Whatsapp Payments in India soon, says a lot of people want to use it

FB Chief Mark Zuckerberg is quite optimistic about launching Whatsapp Payments in India despite the regulatory hurdles in India. He said the tests are going on in India & show that a lot of people want to use Whatsapp Payments. Whatsapp is planning to launch a peer-to-peer UPI payments service. It is said to be ready for a launch in the market by year-end. Whatsapp had earlier hit the roadblock with data localisation issues.
