Festive Sale Day 1: Amazon sells Rs 750 cr worth smartphones, Flipkart sees 2X sales

Amazon has the biggest opening ever in its festive sales that began on Sat. It claims it has sold premium smartphones worth Rs 750 crore within 36 hours on its platform. Flipkart backed by Walmart also expressed exuberance & said it found 2-X sales growth on day 1 of its BBD sales. The on-going sale will end on Oct 4. Both the companies have remained silent on the total business generated on the 1st day of the sale.
