Global FDIs to plunge by 40% due to Covid-19: UN

According to the United Nations, the foreign investments or FDI will shrivel globally due to Covid-19 crisis. The FDI inflow will shrivel from $1.54 trillion to below $1 trillion, this is the first such recorded fall since 2005. The speed of reopening of cities and business centres across the world has caused worry among health experts who fear a second wave of Covid-19. The Latin American region has surpassed 80,000 deaths.
