Google attacks Microsoft for role in forced media payments

Google has slammed Microsoft for having a stance similar to the governments forcing tech platforms to pay media organizations for news content. While Google and Facebook have been against the move since the beginning, Microsoft hasn't been much vocal about the issue. After Microsoft president Brad Smith blamed Google's business model for "devouring" ad revenue, Google senior VP Kent Walker called them "self-serving claims."
