Google's controversial project, 'Dragonfly' to launch a censored search engine in China, got terminated last year. However, rumors of it being active continued. Buzzfeed said it was publicly confirmed that Dragonfly has ended. Google's prototype Chinese search engine was labeled 'disturbing' by a former employee. Dragonfly was criticized as Chinese authorities could sensor web content & monitor citizens behavior online.
