GST collection crosses Rs 1 trillion mark for the first time in April

For the first time since the introduction of GST in India, GST collections cross Rs1 trillion mark as by the month of April, GST revenue was Rs 1.03 trillion including Rs 32,493 crore for CGST and Rs 40,257 crore for the SGST. This statement has been made by Finance Ministry. Out of 87.12 lakh eligible to file the return, 60.47 lakh GSTR 3B returns were filed in the month of March which takes eligible proportion to 69.5%.
