GST is one of the most complex tax systems: World Bank

With second highest tax rate in the world, Goods and Services Tax is one of the most complex tax systems in the world, said World Bank. According to the World Bank’s bi-annual India Development Update, among 115 countries only 5 countries including India have 4 or more tax rates of GST while 49 countries have a single slab and 28 countries use two slabs. India’s 28% tax slab is the second highest among 115 countries.
