GST regime a hit with Indian industry: CII survey

CII has surveyed over 200 businesses to study the impact of GST. As GST reduced retail price inflation and reduced transportation time between states, its implementation was seen as an optimistic measure by 83% respondents. The new tax regime came with its problems but 65% respondent said that they were happy with the overall implementation. Many businesses were satisfied with payment process and record maintenance.
