Airbnb claims that it had a direct economic impact of $150 million in India in 2018 based on its survey. Airbnb's hosts collectively earned $28 million & welcomed approx 800,000 guests in 2018. Airbnb's host generated over $100 billion in estimated direct economic impact across 30 countries in 2018. An internal survey of more than 228,000 responses from its host, 51% of Airbnb hosts says hosting helped them afford their homes.
