Amazon, Flipkart held a 6-day festive sale from Sept 29 to Oct 4 in India and achieved a record of $3 billion i.e.nearly Rs 19,000 crore of GMV. RedSeer Consultancy said that Amazon & Flipkart dominated 90% of the market share during the 6-day sale event and given the momentum in the first edition of the festive sale, the entire Oct month is expected to generate up to $6 billion ie Rs 39,000 crore in online sales.
