In April-September Direct tax collections increase about 16%
In the latest data on total direct tax collections released by Finance Ministry revealed that the direct tax collection has been raised 15.8% to Rs 3.86 lakh crore. This collection represents 39.4% of total budget estimates of direct taxes for 2017-18. Moreover, in this period Rs. 79,660 crore of refunds has also been issued. Until September, Rs 1.77 lakh crore tax collection has received in advance.
