In world’s largest e-commerce deal, Walmart acquired Flipkart

Walmart has taken over Flipkart for $16 billion, in what is called the largest acquisition of the e-commerce industry till now. Walmart has acquired 77% of the stakes of Flipkart and it will give Walmart the access to the Indian e-commerce that will see a growth of $200 billion in next few years, according to Morgan Stanley. The acquisition will result in founder Sachin Bansal’s exit from Flipkart completely.
