Income Tax department extends tax filing deadline for FY 2019-20 till November 30

The deadline for filing income tax return (ITR) for the financial year 2019-20 has been extended till November 30 by the Income Tax department in the wake of the novel coronavirus. The I-T department earlier extended the deadline for tax saving investments/payments for the financial year 2019-20 up to July 31. The deadline for furnishing of TDS/TCS statements for FY 19-20 has also been extended till August 15.
