India Post Payments Bank to be converted into a small finance bank: The postal dept

The Postal department has announced that they are going to convert the India Post Payments Bank into a small finance bank. The department is also planning to open one crore accounts for IPPB in 100 days. The decision was taken during the annual Heads at Circles conference held at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir from 29th to 31st July. India Post will also be providing multiple citizen centric services.
