India witnessed 5% increase in the foreign tourist arrival in 2018

According to the data provided by the govt, the foreign tourist's arrival in the country has increased by 5.2 per cent to 1.05 crore in the year 2018. Due to that, foreign exchange earning has also increased by 9.6% to Rs 1.94 lakh crore in 2018. In 2017, there were 10.04 million tourists arrived in India, and in 2018, the number increased to 10.56 million. These figures are, however, based on provisional estimates.
