Investors lost Rs 7.25 lakh crore in 2018

Slump in market capitalisation of BSE listed companies due to volatile broader market conditions in 2018 brought down investors wealth down by Rs 7.25 lakh crore to Rs 1,44,48,465.69 crore. Finishing at 36,068.33, BSE bench Sensex gained 2,011.5 points, or 5.90 per cent, in 2018. Experts said that early 2019 will be affected by slowdown in the domestic economy, liquidity crunch and national elections.
