IPPB doorstep banking to have postmen with smartphones
India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) will equip the service postmen with smartphones to reach door to door. IPPB will also launch 3,250 customer access points in 650 districts when it starts operations from March, the main focus would be under-banked rural areas. The bank will have 155,000 technologically advanced post offices, among which 129,000 would be in rural areas apart from the existing India Post customer base.
