Sumitomo, a Japanese firm, is set to purchase a 3-acre plot in Bandra Kurla Complex for a whopping Rs 2,238 crore. Experts say it would be one of the most highly valued deals in the real estate history. The Japanese conglomerate has paid at least Rs 745 crore per acre, making it the largest land per acre deal in India. The BKC is a prime commercial hub in Mumbai and has more than 300 old buildings.
