Kolkata may introduce London style open top double-decker buses

West Bengal transport minister Subhendu Adhikari has recently announced that the state government is planning to re-introduce the double-decker buses, but this time they will have an open top, much like the buses in London. The transport secretary has been sent to London to do a survey on the operations. Decades back, double-decker buses used to run on the roads of Kolkata but with time they were phased out.
