Mastercard begins deleting Indian users data from global servers

Mastercard is now looking to comply with Reserve Bank of India’s data localisation regulations and has already started deleting data of Indian users stored in overseas servers. According to the latest reports, this process will be completed by the end of this year. Mastercard has been in compliance with RBI’s data localisation norms since October 2018, as Indian users’ transaction data are being stored in local servers only.
