Nadiem Makarim leaves his startup Gojek to join Indonesian cabinet

The founder and CEO of Gojek Nadiem Makarim has left his startup to join the Indonesian cabinet. Gojek is a ride-hailing platform that was started in 2015 and has recently announced its expansion to the video streaming segment. Makarim is one of Indonesia's richest entrepreneurs and is also the founder of the country's first startup with a $10 billion valuation. He has been appointed as a member of the new cabinet.
