New 100 Rupee Note of Lavender Color Soon: RBI

On Thursday, RBI said that it will soon issue new Rs 100 banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi series. The pattern of the new denomination is ‘Rani ki vav’ on the reverse which depicts the cultural heritage of India. The dimensions of the note will be 66mm × 142 mm. Both the observe and reverse side will have a geometric design going with the overall color scheme. Existing Rs 100 notes will continue to be legal tender.
