No film shows in Tamil Nadu from Monday

In protest against the Municipal tax that has now been levied by the state government in addition to the Goods and Service Tax,Tamil Nadu Theatre Association has announced an indefinite strike from Monday.As a result, about 1,100 will shut from Monday onwards.Palaniswami government has introduced 30 percent municipal tax on cinemas for tickets that cost over Rs.100.The Federation is appealing to the government to roll back the the Municipal tax.
