After the Thomas Cook UK collapse that forced the British government to hire chartered planes to bring thousands of the company's customers to the UK, Thomas Cook India has said that it has no relation with Thomas Cook UK. The Chairman of Thomas Cook India, Madhavan Menon said in an exchange filing that it is a completely different entity from the Thomas Cook UK post-acquisition in 2012 Fairfax Financial Holdings.
