Novelis To Buy Aleris In $2.6 billion

Hindalco’s Novelis has agreed to buy Aleris International for $2.6 billion in a debt finance deal. Aleris is the leader in the Building and Construction segment in the US. The company has already started shipping its products to Novelis. The expansion came after Trump has imposed import tariffs on aluminium imports. A potential deal will help Novelis to increase its presence in North America and Europe.
