NRB asks India to make higher denomination banknotes legal tender in Nepal

Nepal's Central monetary authority, Nepal Rastra Bank has written to RBI legalise Indian currency of denomination higher than Rs 100 after receiving complaints from people, who travel frequently to India. Nepal had banned the use of higher denomination of Indian currency after India demonetized them. Nepal has also asked India to provide the exchange facilities to get bills of Rs 200, Rs 500 and Rs 2000.
