Out of 705 routes awarded under UDAN, 174 become operational: Aviation Minister

174 routes out of 705 routes which were awarded by the Centre under the regional connectivity scheme have become operational till date, Rajya Sabha was told on Wednesday. The Ministry of Civil Aviation had launched the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)-UDAN scheme in October 2016, for making air travel affordable for the masses. As per data presented in the Rajya Sabha, IndiGo has been awarded 32 networks under UDAN scheme.
