Pepsico withdrew all cases against Gujarat Potato Farmers

Pepsico India withdrew all its lawsuits against the Gujarat farmers allegedly growing a variety of potato for which food & beverages giant has claimed to own exclusive rights. Farmers felt that the govt's court needs to step up their efforts to uphold the rights of the crop growers. Indian law allows farmers to grow registered seeds, but they can't sell those seeds. Farmer leaders & activists launched protests against Pepsico.
