Railway Budget 2020: More Tejas-like trains for tourist destinations, Rs 18,600 crore Bengaluru Suburban Transportation Project

Speaking on the Railway Sector, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that more TejasExpress -type trains will be set up for tourist destinations. Government will provide 20% equity for Bengaluru Suburban Transportation Project worth Rs 18,600 crore project. She announced an allocation of Rs 1.7 lakh crore for transport infrastructure in FY 21. A governance framework for ports will be set up.
