RBI directed payments companies to store data in India
RBI has issued six months notice to the payment system providers to ensure that all the data are stored within the country, to safeguard the data from the incident like data breach. The operator has been asked to comply with the instructions within six months of the time period, RBI said in a notification. RBI also asked payment systems providers to conduct an audit of the RBI’s guidelines by Oct. 15.
