Reliance Retail Ltd acquires John Players to strengthen its position

As announced by Reliance Industries Ltd on Tuesday, its unit Reliance Retail Ltd has acquired ITC's menswear brand John Players. The possession will help RRL to strengthen its clothing and accessories portfolio in the fashion and lifestyle retail sector. An ITC spokesperson has said that they have sold John Players and related trademarks and intellectual property as a part of its restructuring plan.
