Repo rate unchanged at 4%, the GDP growth projected at 10.5% in 2021-22: RBI

The Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das said the Monetary Policy Committee has kept the repo rate unchanged at 4 percent. The reverse repo rate has also been kept unchanged at 3.5 percent. The key lending rate of the central bank has been cut by 115 basis points since March 2020. According to RBI, the country's GDP is expected to grow at 10.5 percent in 2021-22. RBI governor underlined the need to support growth.
